About the Owner, Ivan Carlos
From selling boxes of candy to classmates in middle and high school to advising business owners on tax and accounting strategy today, Ivan Carlos has always had the mindset of a builder.

Ivan holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting and is a CPA candidate in the State of Virginia and currently studying and testing for his exams. His background combines technical accounting knowledge with real-world experience gained across multiple industries and business models.
His professional experience includes:
- Public accounting with a focus on tax compliance and planning
- Partnership and S-corporation tax preparation
- Bookkeeping and monthly accounting for service-based and growing businesses
- Audit and risk management experience
- Outsourced and contract CFO services

Ivan founded The CF Group Accountants and Advisors after recognizing a gap between traditional accounting services and what business owners actually need: clear financials, proactive guidance, and an advisor who understands the realities of running a business.
What began as a small tax practice has grown into a firm that prepares and files over 200 tax returns annually. As a solo practitioner, Ivan also manages the ongoing bookkeeping, accounting, and advisory needs of several multi-million-dollar businesses.
Ivan understands the challenges business owners face because he has lived them himself. He has built his own firm from the ground up, balanced growth with limited resources, and learned firsthand how critical accurate financial information is to making confident decisions.
